Question 708636: Question: solve 3cos(theta)-1 = 4cos(theta) ... Tried to use algebra to solve but my answers were insufficient.
3cos(theta)=4cos(theta)+1
Would I multiply the signs together like ...
12cos(theta)=1
Cos(theta)=1/12 ????
...Or would I add them like so ... ?
7cos(theta)=1
Cos(theta)=1/7
This also has to do with the unit circle and finding the roots .... Fyi
The answer is pi... And I don't understand quite how to get there
