SOLUTION: given cos theta = 2/3 ans sin theta > 0 find:
sin theta = (sqrt(5))/2
tan theta = (sqrt(5))/6
cot theta =
sec theta =
csc theta = 3/(sqrt(5))
these are the ones I got alrea

Question 705674: given cos theta = 2/3 ans sin theta > 0 find:
sin theta = (sqrt(5))/2
tan theta = (sqrt(5))/6
cot theta =
sec theta =
csc theta = 3/(sqrt(5))
these are the ones I got already, can you check them and help me get cot and sec? Thank you!
Answer by lwsshak3(11628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
given cos theta = 2/3 and sin theta > 0 find:
all angles in quadrant I where cos and sin>0
let O=opposite side
let A=adjacent side
let H=hypotenuse
given cos theta=2/3=A/H
A=2, H=3
O=√(3^2-2^2)=√(9-4)=√5
sin theta =O/H=√5/3
tan theta =O/A=√5/2
cot theta =2/√5
sec theta =3/2
csc theta = 3/√5
