Question 682981: what is the x and y intercept of 7x-3y=-42
Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Isolate the y varialbe
7x - 3y + 3y = -42 + 3y
7x = -42 + 3y
7x + 42 = -42 + 3y + 42
7x + 42 = 3y
Divide both sides by 3
y = x + 14 ==> this is the slope-intercept form
...
y intercept, b, is 14
(0, 14)
x intercept is where y = 0

x = -6
(-6,0)
...
