Question 681513: find all values x over the interval (0, 2pi), for the equation y=sqrt(3)tan(x)=1
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find all values x over the interval (0, 2pi),
for the equation sqrt(3)tan(x)=1
-----
tan(x) = 1/sqrt(3)
----
Draw a 30-60-90 right triangle.
Let the side opposite the 30 degree angle be "1".
Then hypotenuse = 2
And base = sqrt(3)
---
Notice that tan(30) = 1/sqrt(3)
So pi/6 is one of your answers.
---
The corresponding angle in QIII is 210 degrees or (7/6)pi
that is your other angle solution.

Stan H.
