Question 680507: HELP!! please i don't understand how to work this out.
write a polynomial function with rational coefficients so that P(x) = 0 has the given roots
-9 and -15

Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the given roots
-9 and -15
:
Find the two factors from the given roots:
x = -9
(x+9) = 0
and
x = -15
(x+15)
FOIL (x+9)(x+15) = x^2 + 15x + 9x + 135
which is
P(x) = x^2 + 24x + 135
