Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2cosxsinx+sinx=0
------
Factor:
sinx[2cos(x)+1) = 0
-----
sinx = 0 or 2cos(x)+1 = 0
-----
x = 0 or cos(x) = -1/2
----
x = 0 or x = 150 degrees or x = 210 degrees

Answer by DrBeeee(684)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given:
(1) 2*cosx*sinx + sinx = 0, which factors into
(2) (sinx)*(2*cosx + 1)= 0 which gives two solutions,
When
(3) sinx = 0 and
(4) 2*cosx + 1 = 0
The solution to (3) is
(5) x = n*pi where n is any integer, or 0,180,360,540... degrees.
And the solution to (4) is
(6) cosx = -0.5 or
(7) x = arccos(-0.5) or
(8) x = 2*pi/3 or 120,300,480... degrees
Answer: x = (0+n*180,120+n*180) degrees, where n is any integer.
