I need help with this homework problem due this Thursday:
Let x=8sin� in the expression sqrt(64-x^2). Simplify.
So, the expression would be sqrt(64-64sin^2�) I think. It seems to me that it's quite simplified as it is, but the back of the textbook holding this problem tells otherwise. it states that the answer is 8Icos�I. Where does this absolute value sign and cos� come in and why?
I would really appreciate some clarification.

Let x=8sin in the expression sqrt(64-x^2). Simplify.
√(64-x^2)
=√(64-64sin^2�)
=√64(1-sin^2�)
=√(64cos^2�)
=8cos�
I don't know why the absolute sign is in the answer(8|cos�|)
