Question 669166: find tan theta in 2sin theta
theta is less than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 360 degrees

i'll use x instead of theta cause it's easier to type.
your equation is tan(x) = 2*sin(x)
at least i think it is.
since tan(x) = sin(x) / cos(x), this equation becomes:
sin(x) / cos(x) = 2 * sin(x)
divide both sides by sin(x) and you get:
1 / cos(x) = 2
solve for cos(x) and you get:
cos(x) = 1/2
solve for x and you get x = 60 degrees.
that should be your solution.
when x = 60 degrees .....
tan(x) = 1.732050808
2 * sin(x) = 1.732050808
looks like 60 degrees is your answer.
