what is the phase shift of the following equation?
y=-4cos(3x+π)
Equation for cos function: Acos(Bx-C), A=amplitude, Period=2π/B, Phase shift=C/B
For given cos function: y=-4cos(3x+π)
Amplitude=4
B=3
Period=2π/3=2π/3
C=π
phase shift=C/B=π/3 (to the left)
