Question 625392: My homework is asking me to find the exact value of the trigonometric function given:
sin 11Pi/4
what i have done so far is taken 11/4 and subtracted 2, which gave me 3Pi/4, but it is still asking me to elaborate more and the final answer has a radical in it. I am so confused and dont understand how to further my answer. I dont understand where the radicals are coming from.
Thank you.

Your first step of taking the 2pi out is right. So now you are left with . is in radian measure. In degrees it is equal to 135deg. The sin of 135 is . The radical should be there.
