Question 624647: which function has a phase shift of p/2 to the right
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = sin(2x - p)

has a phase shift of to the right because
if you factor out the coefficient of x in the parentheses, like this:

y = sin[2(x - )]

If after factoring out the coefficient it contains (x - A) its phase
shift is A units right

If it had contained (x + A) its phase shift would have been A units
to the left.

It's the same with the other trig functions.
