Question 613148: How do you verify that 1+cot(theta)/csc(theta) = sin(theta) + cos(theta)
Answer by jsmallt9(3758) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There is something wrong here because the left side is NOT equal to the right side.
Please correct and re-post. If the problem is supposed to be:
then the error is that there were no parentheses to indicate that both the 1 and the cot were part of the same numerator. Always use parentheses around multiple-term numerators (or denominators):
(1+cot(theta))/csc(theta) = sin(theta) + cos(theta)
