Question 607933: Can someone PLEASE help me with this problem? Thank you!
If tan(theta)=9/8 and cot(phi)=3/5, find the exact value of sin(theta+phi).
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sin(theta+phi) = sin(theta) * cos(phi) + cos(theta) * sin(phi)
you can use Pythagoras to find the sin and cos of theta and phi
___ the tan and cot functions give you two of the sides of right triangles, use Pythagoras to find the hypotenuse
