Question 602390: Hi, I missed our Math class today and we were given a homework which I do not really understand. Here is one of the questions:
Prove that the following equations are identities
1. sin(theta)cos(theta) (cot(theta) + tan(theta) = 1
If you could, please also explain the steps so I will be able to follow our lesson. Thank you!
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
not sure how your teacher does it, but putting everything in terms of sine and cosine works fairly well
(sin)(cos)[(cos / sin) + (sin / cos)] = 1
distributing the (sin)(cos) ___ cos^2 + sin^2 = 1 ___ this should be a familiar identity
