Question 584360: Hello. I would like to ask how we calculate the angle theta(θ) of
cosθ = 1/sqrt(2).
From an already solved exercise I found that angle theta (θ) of cosθ = 1/sqrt(2) equals cos(7pi/4) but I do not have the intermediate steps in terms of finding the result.
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Hello. I would like to ask how we calculate the angle theta(θ) of
cosθ = 1/sqrt(2).

For a domain of 0-2π, cosθ is >0 only in quadrants I and IV. Its<0 in II and III.
So, for cosθ = 1/sqrt(2).
θ=π/4 in quadrant I and 7π/4 in quadrant IV
