Question 564783: Find the amplitude, period and displacement of the function below and use this information to sketch its graph
y=cos(2x+2pi/3)
amp=1
period=pi
displacement=-2pi/6 Ithink
But I cant figure out how to do all plotting points to graph please help me!!

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the amplitude, period and displacement of the function below and use this information to sketch its graph
y=cos(2x+2pi/3)
amp=1
period=pi
displacement=-2pi/6 = -(1/3)pi
-----
You have all the information you need.
---
Start the peak of the cosine curve x = -(1/3)pi.
The y-intercept is at (0,cos((2/3)pi) = (0, -1/2)
continue the curve to the right and to the left
remembering that the period is pi.
