Question 555632: Can You Solve This Problem Please?
y=1/3x+2/3
y=5/7x+-2

I'm going to multiply the first equation by 3 and the second by 7 to clear the fractions
3y=x+2
7y=5x-14
I'll then multiply the first equation by -5 so I can solve using the elimination method.
-15y=-5x-10
7y=5x-14
Add the two equations
-8y=-24
y=3
Sub in 3 for y
3*(3)=x+2
9=x+2
7=x
x=7
