Question 55288: PLEASE HELP:
For the function defined by f(x)=5x-4, find a formula for f^-1(x).

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)=5x-4, find a formula for f^-1(x).
Interchange x and y to get:
x=5y-4
solve for y as follows:
y=(1/5)(x-4)
y=(1/5)x-(4/5)
