Question 513523: This one is too hard and I can't get it. . .
Find the exact value of:
'
cos ( tan^-1 (4/3) + cos^-1 (12/13 ) )
'
Thank You

Answer by lwsshak3(11628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the exact value of:
cos ( tan^-1 (4/3) + cos^-1 (12/13 ) )
**
(tan^-1 (4/3) = angle whose tan=4/3
This means you are working with a 3-4-5 right triangle
cos of this angle, then, =adjacent/hypotenuse=3/5
..
cos^-1 (12/13=angle whose cos=12/13 =22.62º
There is no solution to given problem because you can't add a value 3/5 to angle 22.62º
