Question 510780: tan x = - sqrt 3
tan x equals negative square root of 3
What I have is -60 and 300. Is that right?

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
tan x = - sqrt 3
tan x equals negative square root of 3
What I have is -60 and 300. Is that right?
-----------------
-60 degrees and 300 degrees are the sam Quadrant IV angles.
There is also an angle in the 2nd quadrant where tan(x) = -sqrt(3)
---
2nd Quadrant angle is 180-60 = 120 degrees.
