Question 493736: A circle has a radius of 7ft. find the central angle in degrees for a sector with area of 50ft^2.
Answer by MRperkins(300)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first the area of the whole circle is 49pi ft^2
a portion of that circle is 50 ft^2
the whole circle is (360/360)*49pi
so if we let the numerator equal x, set that expression equal to 50 and then solve for x, it will give us the measure of the central angle that we are looking for.
So,

x is about degrees
