Question 42532: Find the solution of sin 2 θ = cos θ if 0° < or = 180°.

Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let q be the theta because I can't write theta...so
sin 2q = cos q
2 sin q cos q = cos q
2 sin q = 1
sin q = 1/2
q = 30 or 150 degrees = (pi)/6 or 5(pi)/6 radians
Both solutions check too.
