Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find the six trigonometric funtions of theta if the given point is on the terminal side of theta . the point is ( sqrt 3, negative 1 )
-------------------
Since the x value is positive and the y-value is negative
the angle is in the 4th Quadrant.
---------------------------------------
You have x = sqrt(3) and y = -1
Find r:
r^2 = x^2+y^2
r^2 = 3 + 1
r = 2
------
sin = y/r = -1/2
cos = x/r = sqrt(3)/2
tan = y/x = -1/sqrt(2)
----------------------------
csc = r/y = -2
sec = r/x = (2/3)sqrt(3)
ctn = x/y = -sqrt(3)
