Question 397624: pls. help me solve this problem.
cotx/cscx + 1/cosx
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
cotx/cscx + 1/cosx
----
To unravel trig identities it is often helpful
to change the problem to sines and cosines.
-----
Your Problem:
[cos/sin]/[1/sin] + 1/cos
----
Invert and multiply to get:
[cos/sin] + 1/cos
---
Cancel the sin which is common to a numerator and a denominator to get:
cos + 1/cos
---
(cos^2+1)/cos
----
I'm not sure how much further you want to go with
this. It never gets down to just a number.
