The question is:
Find the 6 trig ratios for the angle whose terminal side contains the point (-2,5). Then find the angle measure.
I'm basically clueless on this problem, so any help would be appreciated.

the point (-2,5) makes a right triangle whose hypotenus is

the six trig ratios are;
cos t = adjacent/hypotenus=-2/sqrt(29)
sin t = opposite/hypotenus = 5/sqrt(29)
tan t = opposite/adjacent= 5/-2
cot t = adjacent/opposite = -2/5
sec t = hypotenus/adjacent=sqrt(29)/2
csc t = hypotenus /opposite = sqrt(29)/5
The angle is using anyone of these and finding the arc value, for simplicity i'll use tan t=-2.5
t=arc tan(-2.5)=180-arc tan(2.5)=180-68.2=111.8

You are given x=-2 and y=5
Then r = sqrt[(-2)^2+(5)^2] = sqrt[29]
---------------------------
sin = y/r = 5/sqrt(29)
cos = x/r = -2/sqrt(29)
tan = y/x = -5/2

csc = r/y = sqrt(29)/5
sec = 4/x -sqrt(29)/2
ctn = x/y = -2/5

Since x is negative and y is positive the angle is in the 2nd Quadrant.
tan^-1(-5/2) = 68.2 + 90 = 158.2 degrees
