Answer by vleith(2983) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sin^2 + cos^2 = 1
cos^2 = 1 - sin^2
cos^2 = 1 - (0.5)^2
cos^2 = 0.75
cos = sqrt(.75)
cos = 0.866
We also know that a sin of 1/2 on an acute angle is a 30 degree angle.
What is cos(30)??
