Question 32485: Develop the formula for the tangent of the sum of angles in terms of the tangent of the separate angles alpha and beta. (I know i have to use
tan(alpha + beta) = sin(a + B)/ cos(a + B)

Answer by Fermat(136)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The tangent formula:
You have started off correctly.
Now expand sin(A+B) and cos(A+B) using the appropriate trig identities.
Then divide top and bottom by cosA.cosB.
