Question 319001: Can you help with the following problem?
For a different triangle a=312 mm, A=90°, and b=216 mm, calculate the length of c. (mm)
I tried using the pythagorean therom and plugging the values into a^2 + b^2 = c^2 , which gives me 379.473 but that answer is incorrect.

Your calculation is correct.
Check the setup of the problem.
If angle A is 90, and it's opposite to side a, then it's the hypotenuse (the longest side).
