Question 311020: Find the variance and standard deviation of the given set of data to the nearest tenth.
{520, 260, 380, 440, 150, 570, 780}

A. variance = 192.3, standard deviation = 36,991.8
B. variance = 43,157.1, standard deviation = 207.7
C. variance = 36,991.8, standard deviation = 192.3
D. variance = 36,991.8, standard deviation = 18,495.9
I am totally confused on how to solve this.

Mean=442.9 (add the values and divide by 7)
Variance=36991.8 (for each value calculate the difference between the value and the mean, square it, sum for each value, and divide by the number of values)
St.Dev.=192.2 (Take the square root of the variance)

.
C) is the correct answer.
