You can put this solution on YOUR website! i must show that cos theta=sinthetacottheta. i would appreciate any help possible. thank you
cos(theta) = sin(theta) * cot(theta)
use sohcahtoa, sin = opp/hyp, cosine= adj/hyp, tan = opp/adj, cot=1/tan
sin/cos = opp/hyp * hyp/adj = opp/adj = tan
divide both sides by cos(theta)
1 = sin(theta) * 1/cos(theta) * cot(theta)
1 = tan(theta) * cot(theta)
tan and cot are reciprocals of one another
1 = 1
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Since I can not show a theta symbol, let X = theta
Given:
You need to know that
Then rewrite the equation The Sin(X)'s cancel out
