Question 297423: Starting with the graph of f(x)=6^x , write the equation of the graph that results from
shifting 7 units upward.
shifting 7 units to the left
shifting right 8 units, then reflecting about the y-axis.

Starting with the graph of f(x)=6x , write the equation
of the graph that results from
shifting 7 units upward.

To shift upward 7 units you add 7 to the right side of f(x), and
name the new function, say, g(x)

g(x) = 6x+7

shifting 7 units to the left

To shift left 7 units you replace x by x+7 in the right side of f(x),
and name the new function, say, h(x):

h(x) = 6x+7

shifting right 8 units, then reflecting about the y-axis.

Do these one at a time. To shift right 8 units replace x by x-8
in the right side of f(x), and name the new function, say, k(x):

k(x) = 6x-8

Then to reflect about the y-axis, replace x by -x and rename
the new function, say, m(x):

m(x) = 6-x-8
