Question 292011: what is (cos(-x)/secx)+ sin^2(-x) simplified
Answer by user_dude2008(1862)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
cos(-x)=cos(x).... sin(-x)=-sin(x) ---> (sin(-x))^2=(-sin(x))^2=(sin(x))^2

(cos(-x)/secx)+ sin^2(-x) = (cos(x)/(1/cos(x))+ sin^2(x) = cos^2(x)+sin^2(x) = 1

Answer: (cos(-x)/secx)+ sin^2(-x) = 1
