Label the y-axis (vertical leg) = 3
Label the x-axis (horizontal leg) = -4
Label the hypotenuse = 5
sin(x) = 3/5
cos(x) =-4/5

Label the y-axis (vertical leg) = 12
Label the x-axis (horizontal leg) = -5
Label the hypotenuse = 13
siny = 12/13
cosy = -5/13
