Question 235020: PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE THE TRIGONOMETRIC FUNCTIONS:
Given that sin0=-1/2 and 0 lies in quadrant lV,find the following value.cot 0

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let A be the angle.

If sin(A) = -.5, this means the angle is -30 degrees.

You just plug -.5 into your calculator and solve for the angle.

You then use your calculator to find cot (-30).

cot (-30) = -1.732050808

If your calculator doesn't have a cot function, get the tan and divide that into 1 to get the cot because cot = 1/tan
