Question 218411: I'm at the review section of my Trig book and to be honest, I don't remember what to do here. I think one has to square the root away and square the other side, and subtract the 44, but then I'm not sure. I'd rather not have x^2-44 over 7 equals x, but could that be right?
= x

= x
Square both sides
7x + 44 = x^2
x^2 - 7x - 44 = 0
(x-11)*(x+4) = 0
x = 11
x = -4
