Question 206573: find acute angle a if tan sgaure A+cot square A=2
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find acute angle a if tan sgaure A+cot square A=2
--------------
tan^2 + cot^2 = 2
tan^2 + (1/tan^2) = 2
tan^4 + 1 = 2tan^2
tan^4-2tan^2-1 = 0
(tan^2-1)^2 = 0
tan^2 = 1
tan = 1 or tan = -1
A = pi/4
