Question 179936: What happens to the graph of a quadratic funtion when a constant is subtracted from the output?
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When you add or subtract you are affecting the y value of every point.
--------
If you subtract a negative number you are adding to all the y-values and
the graph will move upward.
---------
If you subtract a positive number you are subtracting from all the y-values
and the graph will move downward.
