(1) The right side of your equation is

I don't think that is what you meant. Use parentheses where needed.

(2) "help me solve this problem" doesn't tell us what the problem is.

As it is, it appears there are three variables in the equation -- alpha, beta, and x -- so it would appear there are infinitely many solutions to the equation.
