Question 1188571: draw the diagrams and find the 2 values of θ, 0 degrees ≤ θ ≥ 360 degrees
(a) tan θ= -0.4663

(b) cos θ= -0.3420

.

I ask my calculator about arctan(-0.4663) in degrees.

It gives me the value of -25°.

It is the angle in QIV, equivalent to -25+360 = 360-25 = 335 degrees.

Another angle with this value of tan is in QII; it is -25° + 180° = 155°.

So, the two angles for this part of the problem are 155° in QII and 335° in QIV.

So, the first part is solved and completed.

Can you make the second part in a similar way ?

Comment from student :  for the cos θ= -0.3420 ,  the angles are  110  and  250,  is that correct?

My response :   It is correct.

Good job !   My congratulations !
