in order to be able to answer this question, i would need to know the following:
1.
are you dealing in radians or in degrees?
2.
if you are dealing in radians, then is the period expressed as 2.5 radians or 2.5 * pi radians.
i'll assume you are dealing in degrees, unless you tell me otherwise.
equation is y = 5 * cos(360/2.5 * x)
5 is the amplitude.
360/2.5 is the frequency.
here's what it looks like.
the amplitude is the number of units from the center line of the equation to the highest and to the lowest point on the graph.
unless otherwise indicated, the center line of the equation is at y = 0.
the frequency of the equation is equal to 360 divided by the period.
