Unclear/impossible....

If the center is at (-1,4), the vertices can't be at (-4,-4) and (2,-4).

And what is the meaning of the "=1" you show after giving the coordinates of the vertices?

And, to start with, why do you make your post harder to read by writing the coordinates in words instead of numbers?
