You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If Jerry received a 10.5% raise, he is receiving an additional 10.5% of his salary. So 10.5% of $18,500 is

0.105%2A18500=1942.5

So in other words, he received an additional $1,942.5. Now add that onto $18,500

18500%2B1942.5=20442.5

So his new salary is $20,442.5 a year
