Question 1112562: The broadcast tower for radio station WSAZ (Home of “Algebra in the Morning with Carl and Jeff”) has two enormous flashing red lights on it: one at the very top and one a few feet below the top. From a point 5000 feet away from the base of the tower on level ground the angle of elevation to the top light is 7.970◦ and to the second light is 7.125◦. Find the distance between the lights to the nearest foot.

That means, the angle of depression at the top flashling light is 82.03 degrees and the angle of depression at the bottom flashing light is 82.875 degrees.

Draw the picture to see.
Two right triangles share a base side of 5000 feet.
Smaller triangle has angles 90, 7.97, and 82.03 degrees.
Larger triangle has angles 90, 7.125, and 82.375 degrees.

If Top of the tower light is T above ground level and the bottom light is B above ground level, then

Find T, find B, and then the difference .
