Question 1101594: Use double-angle or half-angle identity to simplify

Thanks

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This is 2/csc^2 x)-1
That is 2 sin2^x-1
That is -(1-2 sin^2 x)
that is -cos (2x) ANSWER
check
let x=30 degrees
csc 30 is 2
(2-4)/4=-1/2
-cos (60)=-1/2
