Question 1085202: simplify in surd form

1+tan60°÷1-tan60°

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1+sqrt(3))/(1-sqrt(3))
rationalize the denominator by multiplying top and bottom by conjugate (1+ sqrt(3))
the numerator is [1+2 sqrt(3)+3]/1-3
That is [4+2 sqrt (3)]/-2
That is -2-sqrt(3) ANSWER; numerically about -3.732
Check with 2.732/-0.732=-3.73
