Question 1085022: Regular hexagonal pyramid has a volume of 280.59 m³ and an altitude of 9 m . What is the edge of the base?
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The base has an area of 280.59/9=31.1766
The area of a hexagon is (3/2) sqrt (3)*s^2, where s is a side
This equals 31.1766
Divide by 3 sqrt (3)/2 and take the square root.
3.464m or 2 sqrt (3)m
