a) When rounding you only need to look at the number to the right of the place you are rounding to .. so in this case she should have simply looked at 76.24 .. The number just to the right of the hundredth place is less than 5 so you just discard that and all other digits after it. The Correct answer in this case would be 76.44.
b) When rounding you only need to look at the number to the right of the place you are rounding to .. so in this case she should have simply looked at 76.91 .. The number just to the right of the hundredth place is less than 5 so you just discard that and all other digits after it. The Correct answer in this case would be 78.24.
c) When rounding you only need to look at the number to the right of the place you are rounding to .. so in this case she should have simply looked at 76.24491 .. The number just to the right of the hundredth place is less than 5 so you just discard that and all other digits after it. The Correct answer in this case would be 76.24.
d) none of the above.
Can someone please help me with this one problem? I actually think this is the only question that I cannot grasp.

76.24491 ROUNDING TO THE NEAREST HUNDREDTH WHICH IS THE FIRST 4.
BECAUSE THE NEXT LOWEST DIGIT IS A 4 THUS WE LEAVE THE FIRST 4 ALONE & ZERO OUT ALL DIGITS TO THE RIGHT.
THUS THE ANSWER C) 76.24 IS CORRECT.
