Question 1064828: Solve for theta in the equation: 3sec^2theta + 4sec theta = -1, theta E (-360 degrees, 0 degrees]
I found that cos = -3, and cos = -1
Now do I plug those into the equation?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You don't put them into the equation but find where they exist on the interval given.
cos theta= -3 doesn't exist but cos theta= -1 does exist, when theta is pi.
