Question 1057861: if tan x = x , then what value of x = ?
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20054)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There is only one rational solution x = 0. All other solutions are
irrational, and can only be found by iterative methods which
graphing calculators and computers use.

Some of them are x ≈ ±4.493409458, x ≈ ±7.725251837, x ≈ ±10.904121659

There are infinitely many solutions.
