Since secant and cosecant are reciprocals of cosine and sine, use the ranges of cosine and sine to determine.
The range of sine and cosine are [,].
So taking the reciprocal leads to the range of secant and cosecant (remembering that you have to take out the reciprocal of zero since it's undefined).

There is no max. Sec & csc go from negative undefined (-1/0) to positive undefined (1/0)
